Department of Engineering 

There is only one Engineering College in the state where facilities are available for BE programmes in disciplines like, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electrical Electronics, Production and Transportation Engineering. Due to the lack of infrastructural facilities, it was difficult for the students of the state to pursue higher studies in Engineering within the state. The fulfill the dreams of the students and to uplift the academic and research activities in Engineering, the University has established the Faculty of Engineering with active financial support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. 

The Faculty of Engineering has launched the following two programmes from 2005-2006 academic session : 
 

i) M.Tech in Computer Engineering

ii)M. Tech in Electrical Engineering

The PWD, Government of Tripura has already initiated to construct a building for Faculty of Engineering with a project cost of Rs. 350 lakhs.
