School of Management 

School of Management, Tripura University, has launched its first MBA Programme with financial support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India from 2005-2006 with a commitment to prepare wisdom managers and innovative entrepreneurs for the country. The programme offers dual specialization in the field of Rural Management, Entrepreneurship for Development and Small Business Management, and Tourism and Travel Management along with the traditional areas of Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management. Specialization in Information technology also will be offered shortly. Due emphasis has been given on developing innovative entrepreneurs so as to enable the students to become job creators and not only job seekers. Due emphasis has also been given on the ethics and values dimension of management, recognizing that management is a function of both skills and values :skills for doing and values for becoming. It can, therefore, be hoped that School of Management, Tripura University, will be able to cater current and future needs of the country. Construction of a separate building for the SOM with a project cost of Rs. 150 lakhs has been initiated by the PWD, Government of Tripura.
